Ballymena’s favourite shopping tradition is back this November, bringing with it huge savings, late-night shopping, and a real community buzz throughout the town.
On Thursday 6th November, local shops and shopping centres will open their doors from 9am until 9pm, giving visitors the perfect chance to enjoy a full day of offers across fashion, homeware, beauty, gifts, and food.
The annual event, organised by Ballymena BID, has become one of the town’s most popular retail highlights — a celebration that showcases everything local businesses have to offer while marking the start of the festive shopping season.
From well-known high street names to long-standing independent retailers, dozens of stores will take part with exclusive one-day discounts and special promotions. Shoppers can look forward to incredible value and a vibrant town atmosphere as they explore the wide mix of local favourites.
Ballymena’s cafés, restaurants, and bars will also be part of the fun — serving up everything from a quick coffee stop to an evening meal after a day of bargain-hunting. Many of the town’s local butchers and food producers will also be offering their own deals, giving everyone another great reason to buy local.
Adding to the experience, live entertainment will take place throughout the day at the Harmony Hub (Bandstand), with local musicians helping create a festive, feel-good atmosphere for visitors and families.
Shoppers can also pick up a Discount Day Guide from the Ballymena BID team, who’ll be handing out 500 goodie bags packed with treats — some containing surprise prizes and Ballymena Gift Cards to spend in local stores.
With unbeatable savings, great food, and a lively town centre, Ballymena Discount Day is the perfect excuse to get your Christmas shopping started early and support the local businesses that make our town unique.
